The thing about this is people used to make me feel like blurry photos were a lack of focus. Similarly, we are taught sadness is a lack of happiness—-that we are falling short of the best.
I am old enough now to know this is not true. Sadness is equally as necessary and valuable as happiness. It is important.
I shoot like this a lot. It’s because I don’t care about the focus. That’s not what I see at all. It’s the light. It’s the motion. It’s the color. I adore it all.
